Cheyenne tattoo machines are some of the most-used and revered rotaries in the industry, with countless artists across the globe using one or more of the German-made models.

Whether it’s the beloved HAWK family of machines or the latest SOL rotaries, you can be sure that Cheyenne has a rotary for everyone, no matter their style or preference!

Cheyenne HAWK

The classic Cheyenne HAWK tattoo machine was re-released to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the original model, which was the German manufacturer’s first rotary and responsible for popularising needle cartridges.

An all-rounder tattoo machine that is suitable for all styles, the updated version of the HAWK was given a new motor by Cheyenne, along with a protected jack connection for improved reliability.

Cheyenne HAWK Spirit

The Cheyenne HAWK Spirit is the complete all-in-one machine, which makes it ideal for all aspects of tattooing. It delivers fast strokes and quick punctures, yet remains softer than its counterpart, the Cheyenne HAWK Thunder.

Cheyenne’s HAWK Spirit rotary reacts well to different skin types and contours, therefore making it suitable for every skin type and area. This tattoo machine is also very silent during operation with a low level of vibration, ensuring comfort and stress-free work.

Cheyenne HAWK Thunder

As with the HAWK Spirit before it, the Cheyenne HAWK Thunder is another all-in-one tattoo machine that is perfect for any tattoo style.

Cheyenne increased the stroke of the HAWK Thunder to 4 mm, which combined with the new drive and optimised motor results in very high speed and acceleration. These changes mean that the power reserves of the motor are now used more effectively, which can not only be felt when using the machine, but you can hear it too!

Cheyenne HAWK Pen

The Cheyenne HAWK Pen is an incredible pen-style tattoo machine that offers complete freedom of movement while you work. The ergonomic design of the HAWK Pen is gentle on your wrist and prevents fatigue during longer tattooing sessions.

Powered by a precision DC motor, the Cheyenne HAWK Pen is quite to run and produces virtually no vibrations, guaranteeing work of the utmost precision. In addition, this pen-style rotary offers a 3.5 mm stroke and continuously-adjustable needle protrusion from 0 to 4 mm.

Cheyenne SOL Nova

Following on from the HAWK Pen’s marker pen-like shape, the Cheyenne SOL Nova is a light yet powerful rotary tattoo machine that runs very quietly with minimum vibration.

The powerful brushless DC motor within packs a punch, resulting in faster ink saturation - although its quiet and soft operational mode means that it still remains gentle on the skin. This smooth and soft running also allows for a faster healing process.

The Cheyenne SOL Nova is a truly great all-round rotary tattoo machine. Featuring a 3.5 mm stroke, the SOL Nova is ideal for precise lining, as well as soft shading. The motor will start running on very low speeds, so it can be used for a wide range of different styles, including black & grey, dotwork, and colour realism.

Cheyenne SOL Luna & SOL Terra

The Cheyenne SOL Luna and SOL Terra are high-performance rotaries that are quieter and vibrate less than conventional tattoo machines. Both are fitted with powerful brushless DC motors that pack a punch and offer better ink saturation.

Each of these Cheyenne tattoo machines are able to run on low speeds from 25 Hz. Operate the SOL Luna and SOL Terra on lower speeds for styles such as dotwork and colour realism or turn it up higher for fuller and more intense lines.

The main difference between the two comes down to stroke length. The Cheyenne SOL Luna offers a 2.5 mm stroke length, which optimises its ability for black and grey shading, while the Cheyenne SOL Terra has a 4.0 mm stroke, making it a great liner and colour packer.

Both machines have two operating modes, known as HardDrive and SENSIDRIVE. These modes allow you to choose between working at a controlled or regulated speed by altering the motor control.

With the HardDrive function, your tattoo machine will run at a controlled speed, with no give and a consistent hard hit. Turning the SensiSwitch will enable the new SENSIDRIVE function, meaning that the speed of the rotary will be adjusted depending on the surface that you’re tattooing, due to the motor reacting more sensitively to the resistance of the skin.

Cheyenne SOL Nova Unlimited

The Cheyenne SOL Nova Unlimited is the next step in the evolution of the popular SOL Nova rotary and the manufacturer’s first wireless tattoo machine.

Instead of using a power supply, Cheyenne's wireless pen-style rotary is powered by a rechargeable battery. As you'll receive two batteries with your SOL Nova Unlimited, along with a charger and cable, you can simply swap out the first and continue working while your other one is charging.

Operating the Cheyenne SOL Nova Unlimited is all done through a single button and motion control. You can adjust the frequency of the rotary quickly and easily by holding the button down while tilting the machine.

A wide frequency bandwidth that ranges from 25 to 140 Hz means that the SOL Nova Unlimited is perfect for a wide range of tattooing styles. Lower the frequency for dotwork and realism or turn it up for fuller and more intense lines.

The Cheyenne SOL Nova Unlimited offers two operating modes: Steady Mode and Responsive Mode. Using Steady Mode will result in your machine running at a controlled speed, with no give and a consistent hard hit. With Responsive Mode, the frequency and hit of the SOL Nova Unlimited will adjust depending on the surface you're tattooing, essentially emulating give.

Like other Cheyenne tattoo machines before it, the SOL Nova Unlimited is quiet to run with minimum vibration. It is available with a stroke length of either 3.5 or 4.0 mm, depending on your preference.
